I don't know why I want input on Mastema so badly. I mean. Even if everyone agreed he was terribly OOC, I've done so much I couldn't bear to reset him and there's really no way to correct such a drift.

Mastema is strictly DR though right? So it doesn't matter really, because DR stuff is generally a free for all any way you slice it. Alternate realities as well as just different takes on him are up for game. (If he's from a game you didn't finish before you created him, well live and learn. Some people just want to RP a character so badly that they play them before the story about them is finished. Nothing wrong with that really.)

I was in a game once where I guess 97% of the whole cast of Yugioh was one great big nymphomanic sex romp. They literally could NOT refrain from sex/events that allowed for public sex/sexual talk over loud speakers/ etc. And most of them were ORIGINAL Universe.

Even if you're off, so long as you're not like the idiots in the YGO group, I don't see people having a problem with you.

Well yeah, but even in the DR a certain level of understanding of the character and competence is expected.

He's an angel, you've been doing fine with all the other angels. What's prompted your worry over this one?

Well, the other angels are generic mons in their games, except Gabriel.

Mastema is a story character, and, unlike Gabriel, has been taken from a situation removed from where canon leaves him - that is, opting to play a player-initiated fusion as more than a function of the game system and then running it to a conclusion beyond the game's end.

He's a character that's developing. All the characters in a game are like that, he's just growing. While in a normal game, you'd probably have to write a long history explaining the obvious shifts in personality. I think it's considered an accepted fact that characters will grow and change.

I vote: don't sweat the small stuff. Rock on!

Mastema...certainly is interesting. Where you got the idea of Mastema as a Watcher?

Well, all texts will pretty much call him a demon.

But Atlus cast him as an angel.

So I asked myself what would be the most logical reason an angel would want to preserve a tenth of the Nephilim.

Answer: If he were a Watcher and at least one of those Nephilim was his own child.

By coincidence, I started playing him around Father's Day, so this came into effect in RP faster than I'd anticipated.
