Go look at your blog/journal. Find the last Fandom-related thing you posted. The characters in that post are now your team-mates in the Zombie Apocalypse. How fucked are you?

...I guess rambling about playing a game is kind of fandom-related. So the last post talked about beating SMT2 on the Law path. The characters mentioned by name are Gabriel, Beth, YHVH, Virtue, Anubis, and Satan.

...

One word: Mahama.

My apartment is the safehouse, guys. If there's enough room left to stand with the giant floating head in the way.

So, a couple of days ago, I beat SMT2 on the Law path! It was to canon-review for Gabriel...but I wound up picking up two new muses from the playthrough. Only one of which is a journal (that's Beth, btw), and uh. Yeah.

Anyway, the final couple of battles were more annoying than they were hard. YHVH only killed someone by damage once, and that was only because it was Satan spamming Deathbound and YHVH landed a critical before Virtue could Diarahan him. If it had not been a critical, he would not have died.

His only other kills were Anubis, by Voice. Yeah. Kind of underwhelming.

In other news, uh. YHVH has some interesting sprite frames. I've only ever creeped people out by showing them this one, but I can't stop laughing at it, personally. It just looks so stupid on him.

And then I made an icon of it because I was kind of bored and it amused me. Feel free to take it, treat it like a base, whatever.

So if I didn't give you questions before, now's your chance! [livejournal.com profile] knuddleluff asked me these:

1. What is your favorite SMT demon (that is not an angel)?

Kurama Tengu! I love tengu in general, and Kurama was one of my constant companions throughout the endgame of DSRK1.

2. What is your favorite MegaMan game and/or series?

I'm partial to the Classic series, but overall my favorite games are:
Classic: 7
X: 4
Battle Network: 3

3. Name at least three personal items that you would use to decorate your bedroom.

My Nook (more it's cover, really), my DS, and my laptop (or its case). End result would probably be a floral/earthy thing since the main colors for those three wind up being brown, pink, and green(if we use the laptop case).

4. Other than gaming and reading, what would you consider your hobby?

Writing!

5. What do you consider your greatest achievement in life so far?

Submitting three pieces to the school's creative writing journal, judged by the creative writing instructors. Two of them were slice-of-life stories, one was a fantasy piece (if you don't know, creative writing instructors tend to disallow fantasy and sci-fi on principle because bad writers tend to hide their bad writing behind the fantasy and sci-fi ideas.). My creative writing instructor knows me and my fantasy and has allowed it (!), but he wasn't on the judging panel that year.

Guess which piece of the three made it in, with a panel of complete strangers? :3

[livejournal.com profile] zekkass asked me these:

1. Who's your favorite character from anything? And why?

Pfff, uh. Gabriel, SMT2. And I had a long rambling reason why here.

2. What's your favorite book?

I...have no idea. There are too many good ones. One of the best ones I've read so far is called The Name of the Wind. It's a good fantasy piece that has worldbuilding that makes sense and is executed well

3. What draws you to the angels in SMT?

I...have no idea. I'm just fascinated by them.

4. What's the best thing that's happened to you in the last year?

Uh...having some awesome times RPing. :3

5. Why'd you choose that username?

Well, my usual screenname is Cherry. When I tried naming my character in Imagine that, though, it was taken. So I went through mutations of it until I found one that was not taken. And surprise, it wasn't taken here or anywhere else!

Title: Introspect
Source: SJ, SMT DR
Rating: G
Pairings: Mastema/Zelenin (adarkerangel/secular_saint)
Warnings: Uh.  A bit angsty?  Otherwise none.
Summary: The heightened tension after the Mall's Conception brings Mastema face to face with renewed guilt and some of his difficulties with communication.
Notes: So this was originally gonna be a summary of SJ from Mastema's perspective (as relating to Zelenin).  But the muse realized how pathetic he was being.  So...yay?

Under the cut )

He's here! They implemented him!

Except the story reason behind the dungeon is creeping me out.

cut for images and...uh. Spoilers? idk. )

Anyway, I didn't actually go in yet. I just wanted to see the message beforehand. I'll stew in that at work.

Bleh.

I keep meaning to go play Imagine, but I get sidetracked by other things.

That's right, I procrastinate on my free time too. What the hell, self.

Title: Negotiations
Source: SMT2
Characters: Law!Aleph, Ghoulette, Angel, Dark Elf
Rating: G
Warnings: None?
Notes: Based on an actual negotiation. It happened immediately after I recruited Angel, so I just had to wonder what she was thinking when Aleph did that.

Angel wasn't quite certain what she'd gotten herself into. She'd certainly been impressed with Aleph's bravado and commanding voice, but what kind of Messiah would approach the undead for conversation?

"Hello there," Aleph said, smile as friendly as the one he'd approached her with.

The Ghoulette looked at him with a wistful stare. "Ahh...you remind me of..." she trailed off with a dreamy sigh. "...will...will you dance with me the way I used to?"

"Sure," Aleph said, putting away his weapons.

"Master Aleph!" Angel cried, unable to stop herself.

The Ghoulette put her hand on Aleph's shoulder.

Angel watched in mute horror, sure their master's kindness had cost them the initiative.

But Aleph put his arms around the living corpse in return. Ghoulette smiled and moved one hand to his waist, taking the other in her own.

And, without threat, they began to dance.

It didn't take long before the pair were enveloped in a soft white light. The Divine drew a slow breath, recognizing the anguished soul given rest.

The light cleared, leaving Aleph alone.

"Truly a Messiah," Angel breathed.

"Don't become too enthralled," said Dark Elf beside her. "The other one will not be swayed that easily. We have a battle to complete."

The fourth wall has become transparent, revealing a long table at which several muses sit, watching the world on the other side of thousands of computer monitors with a nervous expectancy in their eyes.

They have gathered here, waiting for questions to come their way.

The people on the other side will supply them. The questions may concern anything at all, in-character, backstory, meta, whatever can come to their minds. They only need ask in a reply to this post, and the interview will commence. They will be compelled to answer every question, regardless of how uncomfortable it may be.

We were talking about Lady Gaga.

And...despite the tone here, the conversation actually turned out to be quite pleasant. Go figure.

Clan SMTDR

So, if there are any old clan members from Kikkyou still watching or clanless/other clan DR members reading this but not watching the DR's OOC comm, then I figured I'd let you know I created a clan for the DR. If you want to join it or migrate from other clans or whatever (DR players/former players/prospective players/lurkers are welcome!) then just go ahead and let me know. ^^

Decided on a whim to start up Devil Survivor again. Looked at my MC's stats. Realized there's no way in hell poor Taiki will ever beat Beldr at this rate.

BRB STARTING OVER AGAIN.

Let's hope Mitsuo Fujii does better than his predecessors.
chierii: (Grumpy Mastemoth)
So, flist, tell me this:

You're heading back towards Arcadia after killing your targets. You've got an Odin next to you so there's no way you need Blobs for your quest.

There's a Blob with very low health moving towards a player with full health. Okay, maybe the other player hasn't loaded yet so you can't see he's countering.

But still. Demon with low health + nearby player = they're fighting, right? What could possess someone to take away that last chunk of HP (and the kill credit)?

And I wasn't at low health myself so I clearly didn't need any "help".

What the fuck is wrong with people?
chierii: (^_^)
So I've finally done it. Demiurge has been defeated three times now.

...Strangely, he wasn't very tough this time around. He only ever used Big Bang, Diarama, and Dekunda when I managed to get him to -4.

It was like he was letting me win. Not a Heaven Strike or a Mamudoon to be seen.

Weird.

Anyway. He has a DR post now. Yay?

Everyone who plays Imagine and can buy AP, check this out.

I have some AP left over from buying Yuzuki's character ticket, so I think I'll get one.

So I had a bizarre dream. I say "I" had it but that's only because it came from my brain in the big picture.

But it didn't feel like mine.

cut for length and being bizarre. )

Title: The Casting of Pawns
Source: SJ, mythology, SMTDR
Characters: Zelenin(secular_saint) (framing device), Mastema(adarkerangel)
Rating: ...PG?
Summary: Mastema recounts, through a letter to Zelenin, the moment he lost empathy for humankind.

Under the cut, if I can get this thing to behave. )
