DSRK1, hands down. I've seen people say it's the worst Megaten game out there, no joke. What, because it's not turn-based? What, because it doesn't have your precious social links? What, because it lacks ending choices?

I'm on my third play of it and I love it to pieces. And now people only want it because of its sequel. And then they'll bitch about the battle system. x_x

though i did get AGITATED at the constant RANDOM BATTLES (until i got a demon that helped cut down on that nonsense) but then, i'm not a fan of RANDOM BATTLES in general

.....yes, i know that's not a good thing when playing Strange Journey but i'm getting through it okay.

I didn't mind the random battles, actually. I mean, the encounter rate in the training hall was through the roof, but you know... training hall. It was made to train in.

Your use of word precious makes me think that you don't like P3 or P4 much?

DSRK...that's that Raidou game, right? I don't know, it looks pretty cool. And the setting is pretty unique. I'd definitely plan on buying if/when I get the console for it.

No, no, I liked P3 and 4. It's just that there are people who have only played those games and when they pick up another Atlus title they go OMG THSI GAME DOESN'T HAVE SOCIAL LINKS IT SUCKS even if it takes place after a giant apocalyptic war and there really is no place for an ordinary social life because you're too busy trying to salvage the world!

I still love DSRK1.

It has some fantastic characters and the time period it plays in was a nice change. Also the Akarana Corridor was filled with those little references to other SMT title's. Made my inner fangirl squee :D

This also reminded me I still haven't finished the sequel X_X

Oh yeah. I haven't finished it either, don't worry. Burnout comes all too easily with DSRK2.

It's weird, but I actually prefer the first game over the second.
