Wow, what am I doing?

A Nuzlocke challenge, that's what. I have a new copy of Pearl and that's what I'm doing with it. (I still have my old copy, this one was free)
First up, the core rules of the Nuzlocke challenge for those who aren't familiar:
1: When a Pokemon faints, it is considered dead and must be released.
2: You may only catch the first Pokemon encountered in an area. There are no second chances if it faints or flees.
In addition, I am using the following house rules:
3: I am putting the fainted Pokemon in the last box of the PC instead, which I've labeled the Cemetery, but only the capacity in the Cemetery is allowed for use - I must release any over that limit.
4: I may use Revive items to revive fainted Pokemon (including ones in the Cemetery; ones rendered dead through whiteout need only be brought out and the Revive "used" discarded), but only Revives which are found or given to me. I may not buy Revives.
5: Legendaries and other scripted battles count as their own space and may be caught accordingly - but if I run out of balls to catch with or make them faint, I can't do anything about that! Repeatable encounters like the Drifloon outside the Windworks only count once.
6: Roaming legendaries are exempt from the second core rule and may be caught when encountered. However, I may not deliberately seek them out; I must encounter them incidentally.
7: I may use downloaded promo Pokemon if they actually, you know, bother with the previous generation. I may not trick my game into getting Mystery Gifts from promos that are no longer running.
8: I may not trade with other real people except to evolve a Pokemon, but I may perform ingame trades if I have caught the necessary Pokemon.
9: I may breed Pokemon, but each individual Pokemon may only breed once. Also, to avoid abusing this and stockpiling Pokemon to make comebacks with, a Pokemon born from breeding cannot be used to breed.
10: Water in an area counts as its own area, but I may only use one Rod or Surf.
11:As a general amendment to the first rule: If it has a new encounter table, it's a new area (for instance, two different floors of a cave, but the encounter tables cannot be identical or they count as one) - however the time of day does not factor into this. Mt. Coronet is going to be fun, isn't it? Each new floor of a cave is a different area for the sake of the first rule because I don't feel like looking up encounter tables all the damn time.
12: Because I keep forgetting things: Honey Trees can only be used once per area. If I miss the timing, it counts as a failed attempt.
13: For the sake of, well, being shiny, shiny Pokemon may be caught, but may not breed unless they're the first ones encountered in the area.
14: I cannot revive the same kind of fossil twice.
The game is clear when I've performed all main game and postgame tasks (though I'm free to keep playing afterwards), and the game is over when all available Pokemon are dead, or when I have no living Pokemon able to learn a HM I need to proceed and have no access to new areas where I could catch another.
I may have given myself a bit too much leeway, but here goes anyway.
Here's some basic stuff:
Trainer: Lucas (Male)
Rival: Barry
Sorry for the unimaginative names. That's going to be a theme here.
My starter was a male Turtwig I named Zed. If I think of a better name for him, let's hope he survives until I hit the Name Rater.
At Verity Lake, I caught a male Bidoof I named Jeb. It just seemed right. At Route 201 I caught a female Starly I named Flicky. Feeling nostalgic - anyone remember that game?
Slow start, not going anywhere until Jeb and Flicky are level 5.
Wish me luck, guys!
