So, while blanking on what to write for my Creative Writing assignment, due today, Izumi sort of stepped in. This was before Dominion posted in the "I showed myself, but..." post on her journal. Luckily, it was saved from being fanfiction by virtue of Izumi actually remembering it was a class assignment. It stops being her after the first paragraph, but it's still pretty close to her feelings throughout, even with the detail-shifting to accommodate a real-world setting.

Anyway, I'll put it here just because.

Comment and I'll give you three fandoms, for which you must answer these:

01: What got you into this fandom in the first place?
02: Do you think you'll stay in this fandom or eventually move on?
03: Favorite episodes/books/movies/etc.?
04: Do you participate in this fandom (fanfiction, graphics, discussions)?
05: Do you think that more people should get into this fandom?

[livejournal.com profile] atrypical gave me SMT, and his knowledge ended there so I get to supply two of my own. I've picked the Chrono series and Dragoneer's Aria.

SMT

1: Well, like everyone else, I started with P3 and became interested in the idea (and come to think of it someone mentioned Nocturne to me a long time ago before I knew what the franchise was). Then my brother found Soulless Army. Hoo boy. I was hooked from then on out.

2: It definitely feels like I'm here to stay.

3: Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha Vs. The Soulless Army. Hands down.

4: I write fanfic, roleplay, and have occasional discussions, usually in real time.

5: Hmm. Tough question. On the one hand, more people dilutes the water. When DSRK was just Soulless Army, I couldn't find badfic. At all. Then King Abaddon came out and...hello sudden lack of storytelling ability. But on the other hand...it really is cool to see more people into what you're into. ...Argh. I have to say yes, I'd like to see more people in the fandom.

Chrono Trigger/Cross

1: One of my brother's friends loaned us his copy of Chrono Trigger.

2: Probably here to stay.

3: ...I have a hard time deciding between the two. I like them both equally.

4: I have a fanfic started.

5: Yes.

Dragoneer's Aria

1: All I had for my PSP was SRPGs and I was craving something in old-school flavor. The title caught my eye and, without knowing anything else about the game, I took it home.

2: ...I have never regretted buying it.

3: The game's all by itself.

4: No. I started a fanfic once but I was halfway through the game and the canon blew my premise out of the water.

5: This is a resounding yes. Sure, it's a cliche storm, but it makes fun of itself for being one. And sometimes plays on your expectations. The prettyboy with snow-white hair down to his waist? The one that starts off as your comrade, though he's elitist and snide and if he didn't so closely resemble Sephiroth you'd expect him to the the rival-type instead of the villain? The one that takes this resemblance to extremes by killing something by drop-stabbing? ...Dies less than a third of the way in. Yeah. Oh, and have a problem with the two male party members looking effeminate? Guess what? A fairy says, "Well, hello, ladies! ...Oops! Sorry, thought you were all girls." Every trope it has, it mocks. It is Lampshade Central. And I want to see more people into it for sure!

...Wow, that turned out long.
