XD same. And I had this crappy dial-up connection and terrible computer. My parents were always blaming Neopets for its slowdown, and I, eager to defend the things I liked, said it couldn't be.
Of course, now that I know a thing or two about bandwidth, processes, and Flash, I can say they were absolutely right. XD
Ahaha, I remember terrible dial-up internet. I used to bring a book to read whenever I went on Neopets, because I'd be sitting there forever waiting for pages to load.
I'd memorized where some places on the map were at some point. There was a long stretch of time where I was nagivating Neopia blind - I'd click on the link to wherever I wanted to go before the map loaded.
Yeah, I used to do that too. Ahh, the good old days — and to think now I get annoyed when I have to pause my streaming video for a few minutes to let it load.
